All About Nosha
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Nosha Luv: Chicago’s Groove Architect
Born and raised in the heart of Chicago, Nosha Luv is more than a DJ—she’s a curator of soul-stirring, body-moving experiences. Her journey into music wasn’t just a choice; it was destiny. Growing up surrounded by the warm crackle of vinyl, she inherited her stepfather’s deep love for records and her grandmother’s timeless 45s, immersing herself in the roots of Disco, Boogie, Soul, and, most importantly, Chicago House.
Nosha’s path into the scene took a defining turn when she crossed paths with DJ Rush—known to her simply as Isaiah at the time. Under his mentorship, she was ushered into the pulse of Chicago’s underground, where she absorbed the craft, built a community, and embraced the culture that would shape her future.
Her first major foray into DJing came with Nice Night 4 A Jam, a show she co-founded in 2007 alongside her then-husband, Chris Ray. In this space, she showcased her vast record collection in a selector-style two-hour set, while Chris managed the rest of the show. Together, they spotlighted rising local talent—many of whom have since become international sensations.
After parting ways in 2010, Nosha was faced with a dynamic decision to make: keep the show alive or let it fade. She chose the former, stepping up, refining her skills, and carving out a distinct style that’s all her own. Her sets are more than just music—they’re a vibe, a feeling, a journey through grooves designed to make you move.
Today, Nosha Luv is a staple in Chicago’s nightlife, spinning at venues that pulse with the soul of House music. Her monthly broadcast, Nice Night 4 A Jam, remains a beloved platform where she continues to showcase her impeccable taste and masterful DJing. And now, the world is listening—her sound has taken her across international dance floors, from Brazil to Spain, the UK, and beyond.
